This fresh and easy banana whip only uses 1 ingredient and tastes like creamy banana ice cream. You won’t believe how easy this dessert is to throw together!

This delicious banana whip “nice” cream is an easy-to-make low-fat dessert!
It’s been around for a while but is still one of my go-to desserts for days when I’m craving something sweet and simple.
It’s made right in your food processor and you only need 1 ingredient. That’s it – just one single ingredient!
Of course, if you haven’t guessed that one ingredient is frozen ripe bananas!
That’s right, this delicious ice cream-esque treat is made simply from processing frozen bananas!
This frozen treat is big on banana flavor, low on fat, and super easy to make!
Trust me, you’ll love this simple dessert!

What is banana whip “nice” cream?
“Nice” cream is a fun play on words for frozen banana whip!
It has the texture of ice cream but is in fact just frozen bananas processed together to create a silky smooth ice cream-like dessert.
Obviously, it’s called “nice” because it’s low in fat and compared to traditional ice cream could be considered much healthier.
Of course, I think there is room for all things frozen in the diet (including ice cream!) but it’s nice to sometimes have the option for something a little on the healthier side.
How do I store “nice” cream?
You’ll want to store any leftover “nice” cream in your freezer.
If you let your banana whip sit out for too long it will melt into a banana puree.
While still edible it’s not really the same play on ice cream as it is when it’s frozen.
How do I store frozen bananas?
Any time my bananas are too ripe for my liking I peel them, put them into a freezer-safe ziptop bag, and store them in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Frozen bananas obviously work really well for this banana whip recipe BUT they are also great for frozen smoothies like my Tropical Green Smoothie Bowl, Cranberry Smoothie Bowl, or my Apple Pie Smoothie Bowl.

wow this is so cool great and healthy treat love it have fun with your mum love Rebecca
It is very cold here right now but meteorologists promised that the weather will be warm pretty soon. I am keeping this for then. Have fun with your mom.
What a great healthy dessert! Enjoy the time with your mom!
I had to laugh as guess what I had after dinner this evening? Ice cream! I’m not usually a fan of cold in winter, and really am rarely a fan of ice cream, but I went with the craving since we had some 90-calorie per 1/2 cup java icecream in the freezer. I’ve made this banana stuff and plan to bring it back this summer, though I’ll try to leave off the loads of caramel and chocolate topping this time-hehehe.
Such an easy and yummy treat! Enjoy your break ya…
A new one on me! And it looks fabulous. What could be easier? I love the photo.
I went clean-crazy when my mom visited too. Have fun with her…she won’t care if things are clean or dirty. She loves you.
I can`t stop looking at this! It`s absolutely divine and I want to try this…
Have a great time,
Paula
Oh, I love this! I’ve always just called it “one ingredient ice cream”!! But Banana Whip is so much more fun. You know what’s really good? Throwing some roasted walnuts in at the last minute. 😛
It’s an excellent treat, we like making it at our house too!
On my way to the kitchen!
